how to stay on track with goals

A little boost for your big goals

Hey Love,

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to drift?

By late February, the initial excitement of the new year usually starts to settle. This is the moment where our goals either begin to take root or quietly start to slip away.

One distraction turns into another. One delay turns into a week. And before you know it, all that time is gone.

So how do you stay on track? I’ve got a tip for you:

It comes down to intention. The intention behind your daily choices. Showing up consistently. Not because the path got easier, but because you decided to keep moving.

In this edition of the Kwanza Jones Chronicles, I’m sharing a little bit of what I’ve been building and the real-world results of what happens when intention meets action.

  • In the last edition of the Kwanza Jones Chronicles, I shared that Culture In Motion™ was beginning its journey in LA. Through the SUPERCHARGED® Boost Bus™, in partnership with The Apollo, we are building cultural infrastructure in real time. From Southern California to the Bay Area, through Las Vegas and Phoenix, we’ve been turning everyday spaces into platforms for real people. Local artists performing in their own neighborhoods. Young creatives gaining visibility. Communities gathering around shared expression. Each stop strengthens a growing network of access and opportunity, supporting talents not just for a moment, but for the long run. Now we’re moving deeper into the Southwest, continuing to build where culture, community, and opportunity meet. Go here to follow the movement of the bus.
  • 2025 was about making intentional choices, building partnerships, strengthening networks, and amplifying voices. Every step we took opened up new paths to access and opportunities, moving culture forward and keeping legacy in motion. If you haven’t seen it yet, I invite you to take a look at my Year in Review to see the milestones that shaped 2025 and how we set the tone for this year.
  • José and I were featured on the cover of Princeton Alumni Weekly, and it captures the meaning of dreaming in decades on a deeper level: building places and spaces that didn’t exist for you, so they can exist for future generations. That’s impact… That’s what this moment at Princeton represents. As José puts it, “When you look at the map of Princeton, you see Rockefeller. You see Forbes. You see Kwanza. You see Feliciano.” It’s about belonging and connection. Princeton connects people, cultures, thoughts, and ideas. The magazine covers our story, from being students to partners building a legacy. Deep gratitude to Princeton Alumni Weekly and Mark F. Bernstein ’83 for the thoughtful spotlight.

  • José and I are also proud to stand behind “Porto Rico,” a historic film led by Residenté, bringing a bold expression of Puerto Rico’s truth, power, and identity to the global stage. This is bigger than investing in a film. We believe culture shapes how people see themselves and how the world sees them. When you support authentic storytelling, you strengthen identity, create opportunity, and shift what’s possible for the next generation. This is about building the kind of cultural infrastructure that lasts. The kind that turns art into access, visibility into momentum, and stories into impact.

Remember, staying on track is about the choices you make when no one is watching. So, I’ve got a challenge for you: Think about one intentional choice you can make today. A decision that will move you towards the completion of that project you’re working on or the goal you set. Have you decided? Good. Now act on it.
