In celebration of Black History Month, Kwanza Jones extended a truly SUPERCHARGED® invitation to students and senior administrators of Spelman College and Bennett College; the only all-woman HBCUs. Nine women were selected to make Queen Moves in New York City and attend The Apollo Theater’s Dining with the Divas luncheon as Kwanza’s special guests.
The Bennett Belles and Spelman Sisters created new connections with attendees such as Susan L. Taylor (Editor-in-Chief Emerita of Essence Magazine) and this year’s honoree, Carolyn Minick-Mason, Kwanza’s friend and colleague on the Board of Directors of The Apollo.
In addition to attending the event, the ladies participated in an exclusive Queen Moves Only experience that included exploring the rich history of women and people of color throughout the city along with many other curated activities that served as a catalyst for personal growth, power partnerships and community.
