In case you did not know, it’s AIDS Awareness Month and most cities across the country are doing what they can to raise money toward this significant cause. Believe it or not, the first AIDS Walk actually took place in Los Angeles on July 28, 1985, raising $673,000. Today, AIDS Walk Los Angeles is one of the largest AIDS fundraising events in California, all thanks to its founders, Craig R. Miller and AIDS Project Los Angeles.

This year, the SUPERCHARGED Dance/Pop Queen, Kwanza Jones, has been invited by GRINDR (the largest all-male social network in the world) to walk side-by-side together for this momentous occasion. AIDS Walk Los Angeles takes place on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in West Hollywood, CA.
