overnight success

If there’s a secret to overnight success, this is it.

Can you believe it? February is almost over! Is it just me, or do you also feel like we’re several months into the year? It may be because there have been so many things to do with so little time. Well, guess what? It’s okay if you’re feeling this way. There’s plenty of time to turn your “to-dos” into “been-dones.” The secret is to take small steps consistently towards your goal. Not sure how effective that is? Listen to this:

Last month, I shared powerful tools that can help you on your goal-setting journey. In this issue of the Kwanza Jones Chronicles, I’ve included tips to boost you and get you into a goal-getting mindset. Ready? Let’s go!

  • Success begins with the mind. To achieve a year of transformation, you need to infuse your journey with intention, purpose, energy, and action. It’s important to expand your mind and go beyond your limitations. If you want to achieve results that are different from the past, you have to think and act differently. Here are some mindset shifts that can help you achieve a SUPERCHARGED® year.
  • Last month, I had the privilege of celebrating with the sixth cohort of the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) LA Fellows Program. I gained so much joy and energy from every interaction! When you think about how long it took them to get to where they are, you’ll understand that there’s no overnight success. It takes daily consistent action to make big things happen. And that’s what these professionals have done. It was such an honor to celebrate their accomplishments with them.
  • This Black History Month, I’m celebrating the strides we’ve made over the years as a Black
community. I want to highlight one of our partners, Wemimo Abbey, for his accomplishments. He and his partner, Samir Goel, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of Esusu, are creating equitable financial access for everyone. They report rent payments to major credit bureaus to help renters boost their credit scores, all the while helping owners and property managers maximize returns.
  • Do you know why I usually sign off on my emails and videos with, “Who loves you? I do! Bye for now?” That’s because I always want you to know that I care. Although February has a special day dedicated to celebrating love (Valentine’s Day), I always lead with love. One of my love languages is Service. Everything I do is in the spirit of service to humanity. It boosts me and gives me the energy I need to stay SUPERCHARGED. If you ever feel like you need more purpose and meaning, then think about how you want to own your power and be of service.

Remember, there are many paths to take to reach your goal. Don’t be afraid to create your own way. When people ask me how I am, I always say, “I am SUPERCHARGED!” And I know you are too! You have the power to accomplish your goals and manifest your dreams. You just need to take daily consistent action and move in a forward direction.

Until next time, stay SUPERCHARGED.

Who loves you? I do!

Bye for now,
