• Did you know that over 50 years ago, a woman couldn’t apply for a credit card without a man’s signature? While the 1974 Equal Credit Opportunity Act opened the door to access, making Queen Moves Only is about flipping that access into ownership. In a recent article, my Teamily shared a perspective on why true financial independence goes from having a seat at the table to owning the entire building. • I recently joined Adai Lamar on Radio Free KJLH for a conversation about Culture In Motion™, reflecting on the power of the stage and the importance of community. Adai embodies what it means to make Queen Moves Only, using her voice and platform to create space, elevate others, and actively shape culture. KJLH shares that same legacy. Owned by Stevie Wonder, the station has long been a champion for artists, community, and voices that deserve to be heard. 

For me, this was a deeply personal, full-circle moment. Years ago, KJLH was one of the first to play my song “Everything Around You,” helping to propel it onto national platforms like BET, MTV, and VH1. Moments like that stay with you. • A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join an intimate salon with the Alliance Foundation, opening the evening in a room filled with change-makers committed to action and impact in education. There’s a different kind of energy in rooms like this. You can feel it. People who are not just talking about change, but stepping forward to make it happen. That energy is contagious. It left me feeling SUPERCHARGED®. When we come together with purpose, open hearts, and a willingness to act, we turn possibility into reality and create the future we want to see.

Remember, you are only as strong as your weakest link. So, surround yourself with people who are self-assured, confident, and ambitious. More importantly, surround yourself with people who have the best qualities you’re trying to cultivate. It will rub off on you too.
