Apollo Spring Benefit

Kwanza Jones will be attending the Apollo Spring Benefit as one of the event chairs. The Spring Benefit, Apollo’s signature fundraiser, is a spectacular celebration of the Theater’s rich legacy and its commitment to its future as a mission-led arts and cultural organization, a community anchor, and an economic driver for Harlem and New York City. 

The Apollo Theater has served as the cornerstone for supporting artists in art, film, music, and dance. It is a cultural institution that has provided a place where voices are elevated and experiences are created. It’s not just teaching art. It’s teaching people about art. 

That's why Kwanza is so excited to be one of the event chairs and premiere sponsor of this year's Apollo Spring Benefit, along with her partner in business and life, José E. Feliciano.

For Kwanza, the Apollo is about access and opportunity. It has given so many people opportunities when other places did not. This is why she supports the Apollo Theater by being on the Board and being a donor. Because she wants to make sure that there are so many more pathways for artists, artists of color, and Black artists. She wants to make sure that their voices and experiences are being heard and valued.
