Cardozo School of Law: Fireside Chat with Kwanza Jones

As a Cardozo graduate, Kwanza Jones was invited to have a fireside chat with Gates Scholars of Cardozo School of Law. During the event, she talked about how her law degree has helped her, her belief in the power of connecting and boosting others, as well as her fondness for constant change. Here are some of the points made:

1. No matter what degree you’re pursuing, there are still a variety of options open to you in terms of your career choices
2. Constantly trying out new things leads you to discover and follow new passions and interests
3. It’s okay to have multiple passions, as long as you’re able to devote time and energy to each of them.
4. No one succeeds alone. Sometimes, you need a boost.

Just because everyone is following the traditional career path does not mean that you have to. Do what makes you happy. If you have multiple passions and wish to pursue them all, go for it. We are rooting for you.
