This is what truly stops you from taking action (Hint: It’s not money)
Hey Love,
Have you ever felt moved to take action towards something you believed in but stopped because you thought you didn’t have enough? The truth is, while you may lack some things, there are many other things you have. Your time, unique ideas, community, and more. All of these carry more power than you realize.
Life moves fast, and sometimes we forget what’s already in our hands. That’s why gratitude is so important. It instantly shifts your focus from the things you lack to the gifts you already possess. When you consistently practice gratitude, it helps you build an abundance mindset. A mindset that tells you that you have enough.
And guess what? Focusing on and appreciating the things you have can bring an unspeakable amount of joy!
Ready to put this into practice? There’s a simple, immediate action I want you to take. Watch the video below and try it.
As you may know, I don’t wait until Thanksgiving before I practice gratitude. I do it every day. Which is why you may have heard me say I operate from a place of gratitude. It keeps me grounded and SUPERCHARGED®.
So, for this edition of the Kwanza Jones Chronicles, I’ll be highlighting some things that I’m grateful for, while sharing resources that you may find helpful if you want to level up your gratitude mindset. Ready for a boost? Let’s go!
- Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of creating a lot of SUPERCHARGED® experiences, each aimed at elevating folks and communities through energy, connection, and service. These are moments I’m truly grateful for. Recently, I was reminded of a SUPERCHARGED experience we created in partnership with Marieclare Sia, titled “Level Up Your Gratitude Mindset.” She led a powerful, 45-minute, high-energy workout that had everyone moving with purpose and excitement, followed by a gratitude-focused meditation and Shavasana.
The event benefited The Trevor Project, an organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQIA+ youth under 25. Experiences like these are why we continue to build places and spaces that uplift and empower. And let’s just say…there’s more of these experiences (on a much larger scale) on the way. Watch this space.
- I’m grateful for my Teamily (my team + family), for the passion, energy, and collaboration they bring, and for turning our “to-dos” into “been-dones.” Some time ago, they created an article containing seven powerful ways to practice gratitude. From noticing the little things we often overlook to turning challenges into stepping stones, it offers practical steps on how to level up your gratitude. Check it out here, and let gratitude become the fuel for your next bold move.
- I’m grateful for organizations like Habitat for Humanity that take bold action to create real, lasting change. Recently, my Teamily volunteered at Habitat LA, assembling playhouses in support of their home preservation program. José and I also elevated that impact with a donation that will help provide 1-3 households with essential health and safety repairs. Here’s a highlight from the event.
- I lead with something called the “3 C’s”: Culture, Community, and Capital. Part of the “Culture” component is music and art. I’m grateful for music because through it, we’re able to connect and communicate on a deeper level. That’s why I’m sharing one of my recent releases, “All We Need,” for this holiday season. It’s a reminder that connection, joy, and simple moments of kindness are more valuable than anything you can wrap in a box.

As you move through this season, remember that true abundance isn’t measured by the quantity of what you have, but by how deeply you recognize the value of what you already possess. Gratitude expands it. Service amplifies it. And love carries it forward. So, keep giving, keep growing, and keep showing up with intention. The world feels a little brighter every time you do.

Bye for now,
Upcoming: My Teamily and I have been working on something that reflects the impact we created, the challenges we overcame, and the progress we made this year. I can’t wait to share it with you. Stay tuned!
