On Thursday, June 20, LA Tech Cares celebrated 5 years of providing access to high-quality education for California’s most underserved students.

LA Tech Cares brings together business leaders and philanthropists to collaborate with promising education nonprofits on ways to dramatically improve the lives of students from low-income communities in California.

The organization was founded by Kwanza Jones, Brett Brewer of CrossCut Ventures, Brian Lee of BAM Ventures, and Nick Kim of Upfront Ventures.

This year, LA Tech Cares is partnering with EdVoice, a nonprofit that works to ensure that low-income students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for college, career, and life.

At the event, partners who benefited from previous years were highlighted. They include LA-Tech.org, 9 Dots, LA Education Recovery Fund, and Alliance Foundation.
