You know that saying - “you are your own worst enemy”? Have you ever thought about how this may be true? I believe that one of the most powerful tools that can make or break your success is your mindset. So I’m going to give you a mindset BOOST.
Ever been on a hike and just as you’re about to get to your destination, your mind starts telling you that you can’t make it? You start thinking about all of the roadblocks that make it impossible for you to finish? Or maybe you’re trying to finish a project and your mind starts telling you it’s a waste of time, you’re never actually going to finish…so why even try? The power of the mind is amazing, let me tell you…
There is nothing as powerful as your mindset. You can change everything on the outside - your appearance, your environment, your circle, etc. But in order for real change and progress to happen, you have to change your mindset. Your mind is here to improve and advance you - if you want it to. Ultimately, it’s up to you.
I ask you to take this first simple step to changing your mindset. Now, pause and take a deep breath. Deeper. Keep going until you feel light as a feather, till you feel peace. Picture yourself being your best self in all aspects of your life. Ask yourself: what small steps can I take each day to get closer to becoming this person? Give yourself a BOOST. Here is an exercise to get you started!
Check in with yourself daily. What thoughts are running through your mind? Are your dreams close to your reality? Is that voice in your head encouraging you to do better every day? Is that voice sounding more like a friend or an enemy? Identify the role that voice is playing in your life and train it to be your BOOST friend.
Here’s the truth: you can have all of the money, the talent and the resources in the world, but if you don’t have a healthy mindset - you actually have nothing.
