Throughout history, countless women have made a significant social impact. Even today, their contributions continue to shape the world we live in. We’re referring to Queens like Malala Yousafzai, Jane Addams, Wangari Maathai, and Ida B. Wells-Barnett to name a few.
These women overcame the odds and discrimination towards their race and gender. They made moves that brought great changes to society by challenging injustices and advocating for marginalized communities. Their accomplishments serve as inspiration for future generations and remind us of the power of individual action to create meaningful and lasting change. By learning from the moves these Queens made and honoring their contributions, we can continue to work towards a more just, equitable, and sustainable world for all.
Continuing the Legacy of the Queens Before Us
As you may know, our leader, Kwanza Jones, the Queen of Energy is on a mission to boost a billion lives. She’s making Queen moves by creating culture, building communities, and opening doors to capital. Through empowerment, education, and advocacy, she’s advancing the legacy of the Queens who laid the foundation in the past.
As part of Kwanza’s commitment to boost a billion lives, she invests in people and promotes causes that have a great impact on society. We're not just saying this because she's our leader. Even Cardozo School of Law recently honored Kwanza for inspiring excellence throughout the world with her leadership and commitment to equity and inclusion. Here's what Kwanza had to say during the event.
Making Queen Moves Only!
Our visionary leader, Kwanza Jones also uses her music to uplift and inspire others. At the heart of her mission lies her empowering anthem, "Queen Moves Only." It's not “just another song” or catchy phrase; it's a call to action! This mantra transcends gender boundaries, rallying individuals of all backgrounds to make bold, strategic moves with purpose, intention, and a whole lot of sass!
"Queen Moves Only" means owning your power, uplifting others, and being intentional about the legacy you leave behind. It’s the perfect song to celebrate Women’s History Month because it embodies the spirit of empowerment and action. Just as Kwanza and many other Queens are defying societal norms and paving the way for progress, you too can blaze your own trail to make a positive social impact.
A Brighter Future For All
Kwanza isn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty and doing the work! She’s spearheading initiatives that tackle pressing societal issues and lift up marginalized communities. She works tirelessly to level the playing field so that everyone, regardless of their race or background, has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. By fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment, she's creating spaces where everyone has a seat at the table.
So, we’ve said a lot about how Kwanza is making Queen moves and creating a positive social impact. But you know who else recognized her for her dedication to boosting humanity and igniting change? SoLa Impact. In 2023, Kwanza was recognized as the Social Impact Honoree at their 2nd Annual Sneaker Ball Gala and Fundraiser.
That’s not all. Kwanza and her partner in business and life, José E. Feliciano were also honored with the 2023 Impact Award from the Independent School Alliance for their efforts in promoting equity and education. And these are just some of the recognitions received in the last 12 months!
We’ve all experienced doubts in our lives. Sometimes, we may even ask the question, “What can one person really do?” Ultimately, it all comes down to action. As Kwanza always says, “No one succeeds alone… sometimes, you need a boost.” You can ignite change and create a positive impact. But you don’t have to do it alone. When like-minded people get together, magic happens. By uplifting a community, you can create lasting change and endless possibilities!
